Why I suggest you consider something other than road shoes ... road shoes lack traction; this comes into play on rocks, especially wet rocks, and in gravel that functions like ball bearings underfoot Road shoes are soft: even though you land lightly going up hill, the surface under foot is anything but smooth. your foot and metatarsals are continuously being deformed.
