I am doing the marathon for the first time and wanted to know about how much of this is at a walking pace for the average runner? I am a flatlander so most of my incline training has been on a treadmill. I usually put it to the max incline (14.5%), and try to just rack up the miles. Often I find myself walking and I wonder if this is normal for the race itself. I've read about the "conga" line and wonder about what speed that moves at.
