My wife suggested I clarify why I didn't mention shoes or water, etc: I was trying to think of something that others (including first timers) may NOT consider. For the record, she has "unsubscribed" = "can't believe that's the one bit of advice you would give." I think she has a good point. Maybe my subject should have been "one bit of trivia" or "experience."
