Nearby parking is limited so plan your travel time accordingly so you make the 7am race start.
By 5am on both Saturday and Sunday, Manitou Avenue will be closed to all traffic 1/2 mile east of the start and 1/4 mile to the west. There is no parking on Manitou Avenue in the closed areas or between the start and Ruxton Ave. Cars in violation of notices will be towed by Manitou Springs Police Department!
- Read signs!
- Pay for enough time if you are in a paid spot or lot! Ascent runners need to count shuttle time.
- Dont park next to a yellow curb!
- Dont park in a green loading zone!
- Dont park next to a fire hydrant!
- Dont park illegally anywhere!
- Dont block people in their driveways!

Once full you can also find parking on side streets. But again, dont block people in their drives and dont park illegally!
Manitou City Parking Lot
10 Old Mans Trail
Lots of parking on Sunday.Limited parking on Saturday. Only 200 yards from race start!
404 Manitou Avenue
Use West end only! Follow the directions of the parking attendants. Lots of parking about 1/4 mile from race start.
Park to the west and walk out the gate and you are about 2 minutes from the race start!
Manitou Springs High School and Middle School (Saturday and Sunday only)
401, 415 El Monte Pl
of parking about 1/2 mile from race start.
Walk or run back down the hill and you are only 3 minutes from the race start!
Manitou Avenue East
Park along the side of the road where permitted.
Manitou Springs Paid Parking Lots
Three fairly large $1+ per hour paid parking lots only a couple of minutes walk from the start or Marathon finish.
Be sure and pay for enough time to account for your trip down if doing the Ascent.
