Race Info > Registration

Registration opens January 1st at 6:00AM MST

See below for details.

Registration

The course for the Ascent and Marathon are unique and very physically demanding when compared to other half-marathons or marathons. For this reason, all runners must first complete a qualifying event before registering.

Qualifying races must be from an organized and officially timed race. Results from Strava or personal/group training runs will not be accepted.

If the qualifications you provide can’t be confirmed, you will be removed from the race and forfeit your entry fee.

Refunds, Switches, Number Transfers, and Deferrals

No refunds will be issued for any reason with the sole exception of Active Duty Military personnel who receive deployment orders. We strongly recommend that you purchase the race insurance offered during registration.

Registration transfers are not accepted or permitted. If you are caught running with another runner’s number, you and the person who supplied the number will be disqualified and banned from future races.

Entries are valid for the current year only and can not be deferred or rolled over.

Entry Limits

Pikes Peak Ascent: 1,800 runners
Pikes Peak Marathon: 800 runners

Pikes Peak Marathon, Inc. is an equal opportunity service provider and a permittee of the Pike National Forest. Entry limits are set by the Forest Service and are for the runners on the course, not registered runners.

For those runners wishing to use the 2018 TCR Races as their qualifier for the Ascent, carefully read the qualification requirements first and then follow the link for the Ascent above.
